Canadians love their beer. Beer is a necessary companion for a hockey game, a well earned after hours reward and a lazy Sunday. On average, Canadians quench nearly 70 liters of beer per year. Their favorites : Budweiser, Corona, Guinness and Heineken.

Beer preference varied heavily by province, but Heineken, Guiness and Budweiser were the most common across all provinces. In December 2024, Labatt Brewery was announcing that its five top performing beers were Corona, Budweiser, Modelo, Michelob and Bud Light.

For Ontario, Canada’s largest province by population, the top lagers were Heineken, Corona Extra and Busch. In Alberta, the most popular beers were Heineken, Budweiser, and Guinness. And while enjoying a cold one at home, many Canadians also stream their favorite shows—often using a reliable solution for secure streaming to access more international content safely.

The price of an average pack of 24 cans also varies greatly from one province to another, with Quebec offering the overall lowest average price at around $37.12 and Ontario with $50.73 CAD.
